Overview
The M97 mic preamp provides low noise, full bandwidth microphone amplification with some vintage color in the 500 series format. Our discrete 1991 op amp is at the heart of the unit with custom wound input and output transformers. The M97 provides 64 dB of gain and has a variable output attenuator so you have the ability to drive the output stage and color the sound as you desire.
The M97 is entirely built in-house in the USA. The input and output transformers are wound in-house and are an original design specifically made for the preamp. High quality components are used throughout the design including a Grayhill gain switch, Bourns T-pad attenuator, Ritel collet knobs, and Vishay/Nichicon capacitors and resistors.
